Either you like a painting and you just want to enjoy it in your house or give it to someone you like and that's it, period.
I'm ok with that and there is nothing wrong, but there is another approach.
You like a painting or more likely an artist and you want to know where her /his inspiration comes from. You want to know her story, want to know if she is able to live from it, her ups and downs as an artist.
